K38 Rescue Boat Operator Schedule 2008

K38 UK is proud to announce the following dates for the K38 RBO (Rescue Boat Operator) course for the beginning of 2008.

The 3 day Personal Watercraft / jet ski training course is designed for rescue professionals and PW operators who wish to utilize these unique craft in a rescue and patrol context on the ocean and in surf. Please note these techniques are also invaluable on flat water such as lakes however if you are looking to operate on rivers and dynamic moving water the Swift Water Operator course will also be of benefit (available from April 08)

Day 1
The first day will be classroom based examining the role of a PW in rescue, basic operator requirements, PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), Safety Equipment, Layouts and Types of PWC's, considerations whist operating a PW for rescue.

Day 2
Flat water skill development and rescue techniques single person and with rescuer. Single and multiple casualty.

Night Operations

Day 3
Surf Operation and Surf rescue techniques

The dates are as follows,

29th -31st March 2008
11th-13th April 2008
25th-27th April 2008
12th-14th May 2008
27th-29th May 2008

As a prerequisite we ask all people attending the class have their RYA PW Competency certificate.
